HOW HAS COVID19 AFFECTED #TRENDINGWITHMSTRE?

As the month of March started, I was extremely excited to start covering more events in South Florida, within the entertainment industry. My bestie and I went for brunch to celebrate her birthday and future plans for our brands. 

Literally, the next few days, our Mayor and Governor were prepping and warning us to be cautious of Covid19, meaning washing your hands frequently and being aware of symptoms. 

​Safety Precautions::

1. Governor Desantis has made an executive order to STAY AT HOME for the next 30 days..
2. South Florida has been mandated to wear masks when entering grocery stores, restaurants and pharmacies 
3. When entering public places, please stand 6ft apart from other people.
4. No Larger Gatherings over 5 people
5. Make sure you wipe of surfaces before touching them with your hands.

As well as many other events across the United States, over the next 90 days until the pandemic has been resolved.

Cancelled Public Schools and Universities::

• The governors and mayors across the United States, have started to remote home school as of the second week of March. Most schools in US, have provided the kids with laptops for Zoom learning. 
• Remote home schooling has been a stress on some parents while trying to learn the Zoom process and working at the same time.
• Universities have been closed until further notice - due to large gathering and massive spread of Covid19.

Unemployment Demands and Small Business Closings::

• Due to the Stay At Home Order - resulted to several small business and restaurants closing very quickly
  • ​Limiting only take-out orders or delivery services to obtain their business
• The number of unemployment has risen due to the closing of non-essential business being opened.
  • With unemployment rising, the demand for payments and applications has flooded the offices.

International Travel Bans::

• The president has restricted international flights from China and Italy,
• Most countries are not allowing USA citizens to visit until the pandemic has been resolved. 
  • ​This means tourism has suffered in several countries, which has caused unemployment and the shut down of several attractions

New Norm Working From Home::

• Currently most companies are providing their employees to work from home for the past 30 days
  • Due to the pandemic rising, working from home is now the norm for most employees.

During this pandemic, I've experienced every emotions possible as a creative, Intentionally, I assumed, we would be staying for 30 days, but as we slowly approach the 30 days. It appears this pandemic, may be extended longer than expected. 

With all this going on, #TrendingWithMsTre is currently creating new opportunities to keep my travel blog updated and current. I'm continuing to look forward to the opportunity when travel will open up and back to work. Until then, we have to remain positive and keep creating in a positive state.
