“BMF” is inspired by the true story of two brothers, Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory (Demetrius Flenory, Jr.) and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory (Da’Vinchi), from the inner-city streets of southwest Detroit in the late 1980’s, who fostered the most prominent drug trafficking organization in the U.S., known as “Black Mafia Family.” This series explores the brothers’ lives, their family dynamics and their relationship with the community in an authentic manner that highlights their upbringing in a traditional family unit. “BMF” stars Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr., the son of Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory; Da’Vinchi (The Way Back, “grown-ish”), Russell Hornsby (Fences, The Hate U Give), Michole Briana White (“Dead to Me,” She Hate Me), Ajiona Alexus (“Empire,” “13 Reasons Why”), Eric Kofi Abrefa (Blue Story, Fury), Myles Truitt (“Black Lightening,” “The New Edition Story”) and Steve Harris (“The Practice,” Diary of a Mad Black Woman). Snoop Dogg (Dolemite Is My Name, Soul Plane, Training Day), Arkeisha “Kash Doll” Knight, Wood Harris (“Empire,” Creed). La La Anthony (“The Chi,” Think Like a Man) and Serayah (“Empire,” Favorite Son) star in recurring roles. “BMF” is executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson (co-creator of the “Power” Universe, “For Life”), alongside showrunner, executive producer, writer and Detroit native Randy Huggins (“Star,” “Rebel,” “Power”). Tasha Smith (“Empire,” “Power,” Why Did I Get Married?) is set to direct multiple episodes and executive produce. Terri Kopp, Anthony Wilson and Anne Clements also serve as executive producers on the series. “BMF” is produced through Jackson’s G-Unit Film and Television in association with Lionsgate Television for STARZ. Where do I start, The 25th Annual Best of the Best Festival, in Miami during Columbus Weekend, was a complete vibe. The festival showcased several different food vendors, a listed of sponsors with an amazing performance lineup. If you've been following #TrendingWithMsTre over the past year, you know I'm a Caribbean Woman At Heart. Therefore, with an injured knee, I wasn't missing this festival full of my favorite artist. It was truly an honor, to be able to meet all the artist and see them perform. From Alison Hinds, giving us a good whine and so much energy on stage, performing her hit singles "Roll It Gal", "Togetherness" and "Born Wit It". She lit up the stage and I really enjoyed her performance. To Bunji Garlin, take us to the road, with his singles "Famalay", "Big Bad Soca" and "Carnival Tabanca", I really wished I had on a Carnival costume with my feathers. And my absolute favorite artist, Tarrus Riley, slowing down the night with singles "Lighter", "She's Royal" and "Superman" and so many more. I met Tarrus Riley before going on stage and I told him, "I have manifested he will be singing at my future wedding" LOL. He was such a cool guy and I can't wait to run into him again. bunji garlinpatrice robertsYohan and jo Mersa Marleyalison hindsskinny fabuloustarrus riley
